Primary Care Provider
Dr. Irene W. Bean is a doctoral-prepared family nurse practitioner who graduated from the Loyola University of New Orleans. She earned a Master's of Nursing degree from Tennessee State University. She has 16+ years of experience in health care and enjoys the wide variety of people this has allowed her to meet. She is especially interested in evidence-based treatment for primary health care and mental health wellness, and as a part of primary health care, she educates the patients in preventative care and stress reduction as a vital part of healthy living.
Dr. Bean is the founder of Serenity Health Care PC and Weight Loss Clinic. She is also the founder of the statewide Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Association. She is the recipient of the State of Excellence Award for Advocacy. Dr. Bean was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is not only an advocate for patients but also, Advance Practice Registered Nurses.
Dr. Bean is married to Reverend Benjamin Bean, Sr. and has one son, Benjamin Bean, Jr. She loves to travel and takes pride as a self-taught gardener.
